Some mans of the 502th are inspecting one of the german destroyed tank.

For the little story, in 44, 2 boys around 15 years old, nephews of Nicole Maus, took some of the guns they found of the burned germans body and brought them back to the Castel. Civilians are watching the photographer. On the panel we can read "road to Bastogne". This picture and the one on the right have been taken at the east of Champs looking toward Hemroulle.

This picture of an other GI's in his foxhole has been taken 300 meters higher on the same road looking in the opposite direction.
